No, I stand by my point. Watched him on several occasions and he is at fault for so many goals because of his lazy approach to defending.

Why don't you actually watch him play instead of going off what other people have said about him? It is a common viewpoint that he is suspect going backwards.

I disagree I think he is a better all round player but Zab is better defensively and if you watch la liga all the time then you will know that the commentators are of the same viewpoint as me. But we'll agree to disagree.

i agree, zab was regarded as the best RB in spain last season, he was known for dominating every winger he played against except 1, which was messi. (i imagine messi played on the left that game?!)

bur i dont see why we need ramos whos best position is RB, otherwise he would be playing in madrids central defence. obviously they dont rate him defensivly!

He is not crap. Nobody here called him crap. He is not that great at defending. I would take zab over Ramos anytime. Sergio is great at going forward, last season he scored in almost every other game for Real Madrid, but you can't possible expect him to have enough stamina to charge backwards. That's why he is not that good at defending. He goes forward too much. Anyways he will never leave and i don't see why Hughes would want to replace Zab. Hughes wants to improve the squad, not replace it.
