Even if it is the worse case scenario,we can cope without him as our midfield is immense;)

Zaba is a worse blow but hopefully we'll get positive news on his situation tomorrow.
Agreed
In what world is Pablo Zabaleta a worse blow being injured than Sergio Aguero?

Don't get me wrong I love our Zabba but come on man!

the drop from zabba to next RB is a lot wider than sergio to negredo or dzeko

No bump for this yet?

Sergio Agüero is expected to return for Manchester City before the end of January, with the Argentina forward’s calf injury not as serious as feared by manager Manuel Pellegrini.

Although Pellegrini admitted on Tuesday that Agüero could be sidelined for up to eight weeks as a result of the injury sustained during the Premier League victory against Arsenal on Saturday, it is understood that the player will be fit for selection before the end of next month.

The positive fitness bulletin regarding the 25-year-old has eased concerns over his availability for the first leg of the Champions League second-round tie against Barcelona at the Etihad Stadium on Feb 18.

Although Agüero’s injury has been scanned and assessed, City’s medical staff have told Pellegrini that it could take a month for a clear picture of his recovery timescale to emerge. But the two-month prognosis is regarded as a worst-case scenario, with the club’s 19-goal leading scorer likely to be fit to return within six weeks.

Agüero’s Argentine team-mate Pablo Zabaleta is facing a month on the sidelines, however, after injuring a hamstring in the Capital One Cup quarter-final win at Leicester City.

we can survive until then. anyone know when Richards will come back? really hope we aren't playing with no RB for too long.

From Christmas being a period I was hoping we could reach the top and open a 2-3 point gap, I'd be happy to be in the mix come Feb.

Is it me or is there always some drama for us this time of year? Normally it's been Toure away but Kompany injuries/bans also come to mind.

Its a fair bet Zabba will be available for selection before Micah is unless it turns out Zabba has torn the hamstring severely.

Zabba has a history of quicker recovery than Micah from similar injuries and even though he is older Micah is extremely slow at injury recovery.

This season like last one is a virtual write off for Micah and his future at the club hangs in the balance for sure.

Sadly so, and I think it's now reached a stage where we have to seek another young RB to act as back up to Zabba. Micah's performances were devastating two years ago, but his persistent injury problems have taken him out of the scene for too long now, and his brief flirtations when back in the fold have left him badly exposed to the kind of game the squad is now expected to play. Maybe a solution could be found if he is put on a customized fitness programme, but would the manager agree to it? It caused problems between Mancini and Bellamy, though both characters were fiery. Pelly will be more understanding, I think, but he's still unlikely to pick a player unless he knows for sure that the player is 100% fit at time of selection, and I doubt if he'll accept that with Micah.
