Leeds is a bastard mongrel of a place,famous for nothing.

The people are angry,ignorant, envious bastards whose principle neighbours,Sheffield,Newcastle,Hull and Manchester are known and famous the world over whilst the own small town is an inconspicuous non entity.

They have a scowling chip on both shoulders and a propensity to be 40 years behind other northern cities in every way.

They lack history, culture and a defined identity unless you include acting and talking thick.

They are the village idiots of yaaarsherrr who like to go around in gurnning mobs but who are shithouses on their own.

Worked there for a couple weeks in the seventies, found them nice friendly people, been back for cricket and rugby no bother at all. Don't judge a City and its people on a few dickhead football fans not like ourselves and the rags are innocents abroad, yet we wouldn't like to see Manchester condemned because of a few nobheads. Good and bad everywhere I was scared shitless at Elland Road in the seventies but plenty of Leeds fans had bad experiences at Maine Rd and OT back then. Many worse places than Leeds.

I worked on Lowfields Rd along side their shit oyle.

I found em all,including the wimmin, to be the most awkward,belligerent, argumentative, uncooperative, disagreeable, unsociable, small minded, backward bastards I’d ever come across.

Strange fuckers in that mess room though.

Lol. I started at Newton Heath on Thorpe road 16/06/1980 when workplaces had characters in them, also worked out of the Mayfield depot and Rail House and the Goeton Road depot, some real strange f*ckers lol.
Finished on 16/09/2011 and loved evry minute mate I really need to write a book some of the stories I have are unbelievable and so funny.

Plenty of ignorant belligerent racist bastards in Leeds and I don't envy you working on Lowfields Rd!

Memories of being penned in on the away section on the Lowfields in the 80s with their fucktards waiting outside and bricks flying over.

Also getting on a bus back to the station and the coppers saying "Duck" before the bus got showered with bricks etc. How lovely.
