Seventeen years ago today...

I worked for a firm based in Leeds and one of the buyers was a York season ticket holder
He asked me if I wanted to go. I knew what awaited and tactfully declined thinking to myself "fuck that" and was really, really glad I didn't
Now I look back and wish I had have taken him up on the offer
 
I love this thread - I wasn't there either , it was Morris Dancing night . Jingle Bells , Jingle Bells..............
 
Deffo there with 2 brothers & 3 nephews in the open end.

What a cold,wet miserable day in every respect.

Curry in Huddersfield was a very solemn affair.

Next 2 games Sjoke & Wrecktam started the recovery & subsequent renaissance......it's always darkest before dawn !!
 
It is a bit tongue in cheek this thread but on a serious note the Stoke game a week or so later, in my eyes, was one of the most significant games in our modern history. Incredible to think what happened in a period of 17 years. Still that Stoke game is etched firmly in the memory
