So happy to see Phil on the right again. And Cancelo at RB.
That's the better version of this team. We just need an LB... if Gomez is not ready, then I'd look at sticking Akanji at RB. I think he'd be great.

And Villa sat a lot deeper, more compact / fewer gaps than Sevilla- to my eyes anyway.Playing shite for 85 minutes probably had something to do with it.
They also seemed more tenacious/motivated than the Spanish side.

Love the way when Erling's being marked, especially at corners, he takes a few steps back, the defender follows him then attacks the space he's just vacated anticipating the ball coming in. Once we start providing the passes he thrives on consistently a second nature we'll be on another level. Kevin's cross for Erling was perfection - hit so fast knowing Erling had the pace to reach it.
