Well I was one of the lucky ones to be there, and I thought the turnout was a good as the vast majority of clubs would have taken under the exact same circumstances. 1) Short notice. 2) No organised trips from City or Sporting Options (Spike). 3) We know it's more than likely we'll get to the knock-out stages so fans will save their money for them.4) Because the team are so good these days we tend to be in all competitions longer, therefore more games to pay out for. 5) Our support is still mostly working class. 6) The scary news of the rise of the Gas/Electric Bill's ahead.
I spoke to many fans at the match and some of the journeys the fans did to try and cut costs just to get there was admirable.
