As pleased as I am for Rico Lewis' performance I will have to let my head rule my heart and give my vote to Julian Alvarez. Never stopped running. Either closing down defenders or goalkeeper or trying to find space somewhere where there just wasn't any (especially in that 1st half). Came away with a goal and 2 assists. Took his goal really well too with calmness personified in taking the extra touch around the keeper and still firing it into the roof of the net from a tight(ish) angle.

Voted for Jules really made up for him, he tries so hard, chases everything down he deserves it. A goal and two assists. Rico ran him close though

Would normally give it to Alvarez for the goal and 2 assists but 17 year old, making his CL debut start, one of our own and notching a beauty gone with Rico, Rico, Rico.

Lewis was awesome and no reason for Stones to ever play RB again, when we have him in the wings (also great to sing his name as he walked past the South stand.. must have felt awesome for him)
