The performance was scratchy but it’s hot and it’s early season. I think it will be a while before we see us click. I think the first 4 months are about staying in touch and qualifying from the CL. Don’t risk any key players in the League Cup. We need to sign 1/2 too.
The Akanji experiment didn’t work very well for me and hopefully won’t be tried again.
Defence was a bit iffy all game but Ederson was great.
Palmer did well I thought, although doesn’t always make the right decisions. Good goal though.
Thought Foden and Grealish were a bit off it and Haaland was feeding off scraps.
Another trophy in the cabinet!
