Irrelevant, you should all just be called "woman" or "her"...
that's too complimentary, how about "she" or "it"?

'wahey' is not sexual harassment, it is someone plainly being cheerful to others. Boosting moral etc. The fact that your company is not going to fight it is because the must believe her as your bosses must think 'actually, she is a bit of a Jeffrey isn't she'. Your bosses are guilty of something worse, which is allowing a member of staff to make allegations of harrasment without evidence and putting particularly high stress onto another worker for no reason. Again, "wahey" in any court of law OS not sexual harasment. Indeed it is open to interpretation but I think any right minded judge will see she's a leech.
I won't be there;-) I'll be at the City Centre OSC meeting in the McDonald Hotel in Manchester. You didn't say anything like that when we walked together from Mary Ds to the ground the other week.Timmmmahhhh said:How about on Saturday after I send you to the bar?
Fibberer, I did stop to talk to you! Remember though, I was on my way to talk to them when you stopped me lol.JoeMercer'sWay said:didn't get much chance at PoB when you went "so you're JMW" then proceeded to walk off and talk to someone more interesting...

I felt sorry for you. ;-)
From what I've been told he isn't going to be disciplined for it and the company have just accepted it for what it is. When he said shouting wahey at her isn't offensive, the manager said "well she said she was offended therefore it's offensive even if it does seem that she's being a little over sensitive". As you've already stated, legal fees can get expensive so the company will probably just pay up and draw a line under it.the blue panther said:crizack said:Your friend should get his own lawyer because if the company do pay out, they will see it as a reason to sack him. You suggest he gets his own lawyer - is the lad wealthy? Doesn't sound it, but you never know. Maybe he can stand his own legal fees - but they can be pretty steep, even in small cases like this.
If he isn't wealthy, he'll be looking for someone to deal with it on a no win no fee basis, which is pretty much where I came in!
Wake up and smell the irony.
