I think KDB was the only player Pep confirmed would get a few days off in his post match press conference.

Thats probably more to do with KDB being suspended, pretty sure he would have travelled if eligible.

We may not like it but he's going to field a team he genuinely believes can win the game so we'll no doubt see some big names in the line up.

Looking at his line up of Bayern the year they won the group early and we needed to beat roma away and them to beat cska he played Neuer, Boateng and gotze for 90 mins and Muller, Ribery, Robben and Lewandowski all played 45 mins.

No Zinchenko pal he's not eligible. But the rest look about right to me.
Problem seems to be how to fill that LB position without risking Delph. So options would be a back three or bring in one of the kids e.g. Davenport. Could also consider giving Komps and Otta half a match each and dare i say playing Mango at LB.

Tough spot for Pep cos all the logic says to rest as many stars as possible, but the guy is a born winner and wants the squad to buy into that mentality of going for the jugular in every game. And with the winning streak and a possible 6/6 finish on the line I think we'll see more established players than kids.

I guess compromise is the key; seems inevitable that some big players are gonna have to start, but avoid playing guys susceptible to injury like Vinny and Delph.

Gundogan, Bernardo, Danilo, Mangala, Yaya, Bravo seem certain starters. Start the forward whom he plans to leave on the bench vs the rags. Could even start Dinho given his very brief cameo today, with the aim to bring him off after an hour or so. Then fill in the blanks with some youth; its a good opportunity for them to get some experience whilst playing without too much pressure.

The conditions are gonna be grim and the squad will still be at the stadium well after midnight so as long as we can come away from this unscathed then I'll be happy.

I think the team will surprise a few.

Pep is not a City fan who would happily play the under 10s if they could in this game.

He is a winner and will not want to lose this winning run.
