We miss Vinnie badly, never easy to replace a character like him who led our team to many successes over the past few years.
It's like the rags losing ke*ne and arsenal losing Vieira.
I entrust pep to come up with a solution but it won't be easy
 
Anemic is the term that springs to mind.

Feels like we are a fractured side, trying to make the puzzle pieces fit together, but struggling to see the big picture.

Pep has always spoken about a tight “squad” of 16 players, but our current injuries has meant dipping into the pool outside that tight group of players, and shuffling players into positions in which they haven’t regularly played, or may feel like they’re not the exact right puzzle piece. Throw in so,e flat performances and a few players who seem to have lost a bit of mojo and it all adds up to a heaping helping of meh.

KDB looks like he needs a vacation, or else he is one more lung busting run from a hamstring. David Silva looks like he has put in a hard Christmas season, right before the busy Christmas season even starts. Tonight, Sterling looked like the player I used to complain about...head down, running down blind alleys. Bernardo hasn’t looked right ever since the FA went looking for a fall guy and found the nicest guy in football to smack down. Ederson may still be injured, because for a guy who is the best ball playing goalkeeper in the world, he didn’t even get a lace on that ball tonight and grimaced like it hurt to try!

Throw in Rodri and David not being able to get in a full 90 minutes at the moment, Sergio out for weeks, Zinchenko, Laporte, Sané all long term losses and maybe we are simply expecting too much?

In short, we are one bad loss away from the domestic season falling apart, but it is hard to see this team, in this shape, going on an extended run as Liverpool, Leicester & Chelsea all stumble. The draws that have killed off other teams in recent seasons are simply not happening, and we are the ones having to fight tooth and nail for a win, having to come from behind to win far too often. Tonight, we couldn’t even manage that.
 
The drop off from last Season is alarming. We resemble the team Pep had playing in the back end of his first season with us. Is Cancelo better than Danilo? Is Rodri better than Ferdinand was? Is jesus a long term replacement for Kun? Is Stirling just a one trick pony? Leadership and passion seem to have evaporated...Is Pep bored and realises the elusive Champions Cup is maybe 3 Seasons away and a huge rebuild.
 
I remember when we used to play in the group stage for the first few seasons thinking that we would never get to this position. Playing JUST well enough to WIN the fucking group.
The game was not a great watch but how good is it to have the luxury of managing the match and ensuring we win the group. And who here was bricking it about the outcome? No one. Get a grip.
 
Some absolute shite posted on here tonight. Really makes my fucking eyes water.

We are not at it right now. That's all there is to see because we will be at it again soon enough.
