I have to say I feel a bit sorry for Shakhtar. I've got a lot of good will towards them on account of 1) Fernandinho, 2) their manager and style of play, and 3) the fact they've been forced out of their home by war.

After halftime you could see they just had nowhere to go. They were going to lose, they couldn't do anything to stop it, we're just so much better than them. A lot of teams would get dirty and put in some nasty challenges in retaliation but they didn't to their credit.

Defensively barring one daft moment from Danilo it was just superb, Laporte is just a monster of a player, Zinc could do his stuff going forward but didn’t neglect his main duties.

The rest of it was a joy made up for Gabby he had a properly decent game apart from that through on goal, We have have a mental squad when you look at the guys who didn’t get a start, perfect selection from Pep, you might raise an eyebrow at the choices but you we should never doubt him really

It makes such a refreshing change when we can sub off two of our most important players, with our star striker rested all game, players like KDB and Sané not even needed and we still dominate the opposition, still play the same great football. We've never really had it like this before that I can remember.
