No, abhorrent comments and stance.

I think all victims of grooming deserve help though.

Are you ok with victims of grooming not getting support?

No, that's why i said in my previous posts that I think the main reason she hasn't been brought back and supported is simply because of how the public might react. The government import plenty who would more than agree with her words, so I don't think worrying about what she might do is something they care about. They care about the backlash.

I'm not completely opposed to her being allowed back, depending on now they go about it.

But on the other hand, I wouldn't want someone who has spouted extreme views, been desensitised to beheadings and whatnot living next door to kids in my family or any other family...why risk it?

Would you be fine with kids in your family living next door to her, not knowing what she truly believes? It's easy for her to pretend she isn't radicalised to get back in the country. It's called Taqiyya in Islam. Being permitted to lie to avoid persecution.

I really think she should be brought back to face our justice system. As usual we Brits want it both ways in that if a foreigner commits a crime over here we all for extradition to wherever they came from. When a British person does the same abroad, some are all for making sure we are still not responsible for their punishment, in this case by wiping our hands of it on the back of a nebulous link to a country they have never even been to.

Interesting points. Testing my understanding would you support any British national committing a crime abroad being brought back and tried for it in the UK? It gets quite tricky that, especially if accused's actions might not be illegal in the UK or, in this case, the place where alleged crimes happened (the 'caliphate') not actually existing. Not saying that is your view, just trying to clarify.

In my view she acted very unwisely in her actions. She was young and no doubt encouraged but she wasn't a baby. She is now reaping the effects of her own choices, and it is possible to strip citizenship in certain situations as successive governments have now argued is appropriate in her case. Easy to forget the context of what ISIS were doing at that time too, given the passage of time, although its victims will not.

I'm happy for the courts to decide as it's quite a complex set of arguments. I personally doubt that if she recovers her citizenship and is returned to the UK she would ever face any meaningful charges here (all sorts of evidential difficulties I'm sure) - but maybe I'm wrong in that. If she did ever get returned though am sure that this would stoke the fires of certain political parties who would make capital out of it. That's not a reason not to accept her back of course, but it's a worry.
