The programme isn't as good as it was, agreed. But still worth watching.
As for the realism.....well, yeah, it is exaggerated on some levels. It's life on such estates concentrated into a few characters (as is Corrie/Eastenders etc) but life in such places is a lot like that. Limeside (Home of the Limeside Lighthouse...the Police chopper every night...aka Crimeside....remember a gig we did in the Greengate pub in the early 80's being stopped cos of a guy with a gun, lol) and Fitton Hill in Owdam are certainly close to it....and plenty of others like Langley and Miles Platting I have experienced too.

I find it hilarious and entertaining, one of the few shows I watch on tv now a days. It was funny at the end of the episode when they were doing the mods v rockers scene and Frank spoils it, and also Mickeys take on taxi driver.
The show is a lot better than any strictly come dancing on ice bollocks or too fat too skinny 'lets sit down and look at freaks' shite.

I'm with aphex on this one,it really is a load of old bollocks!
First series was ok but after that it was just rubbish. Its neither funny or clever!
On another note,I used to live on the same street as on of the original Shameless cast,he was a right prick !!

You know the Jokey IRL that pub (its in Gorton) is just as bad if not worse than what it is in shameless theres some right characters that go in there.

People who don't like shameless are in the same ilk of people who play pro evo instead of fifa, bad company instead of modern warfare, and watch the office instead of phoenix nights. They're just trying to go against the grain so they're not a sheep. Fact is, yes, Shameless isn't as good as the first 2 seasons, but its still the best thing on telly by a mile. If liking all the best things whether they go with the grain or not makes me a sheep, then, baaaaaaaa.

good comparison mate because i love shameless and i hate pro evo and i love fifa i also play modern warfare and not that other shit and i also like phoenix nights not the office!!!!!!!
