Find me someone on his salary, and you have yourself a debate.

Trick Question. All footballer's are money grabbing merceneries...

Barring a very, very small minority

So true.

Most players these days don't really give a flying fuck about who's paying their wages so long as it is a kings ransom. They are so far removed from normal society it's unreal and what does my nut in is most of them honestly couldn't give a toss about the average fan or the club they play for.

From listening to him talk you can tell he's not the most sharp knife in the drawer. Someone's obviously in his ear telling him to throw a temper tantrum about him earning probably around 60K a week...

Ian Shite for brains. Stick to record breakers or whatever you do these days

no he is`nt!!! swp is struggling with the shit system mancini is playing 7 defenders and 3 attackers.his and irelands talent is being wasted..

not his biggest fan but he's the best we've got on that side this crap of playing petrov/johson/bellany on the right is just stupid

I will 2nd that

Pulling your tripe out(when picked)and getting yourself kicked from fucking pillar to post

gets you parity with RSC,Tourre and Adebayor in my book,

especially with the paid holidays Ade gets himself(bans not compassion)

Why is money such a motivator? Shaun can't possibly spend what he earns now. If he does he's got very expensive tastes or dodgy sidelines.

More to the point though is he worth a pay rise? I say that he's not.

Did he make a difference when he came on last night? No.

Has he made a difference all season? No.

Is he as good as he used to be? No.

But instead of keeping a low profile, especially when the club is going through bad times having just been knocked out of both cup competitions, he starts bleating on about wanting more money. I'd let him go. Not even sentiment tells me he's worth holding on to.

He is getting paid far less than worse players, City should show him some respect.

He set up some good chances last night, he has made the difference all season as no one else can do what he does.

He's saying 'someone'. 'Someone' presumably meaning a regular Joe pulled from the street.
Shaun Wright-Phillips does what we do as a pass-time and gets payed for it.
He's being played to kick a ball. He's asking for more than he's worth.

I know all footballers are like this, but Wright-Phillips is the player in question.
