Shawcross claims innoncence (Sky Sports)

This is a joke and you are completely wrong of course it was a sending off.

Remember what Poo-lis said last week about Stoke players being honest lads who never take a dive to try and get people sent off, when Whelan got straight back up after Viera violently assaulted him. And questioning Fuller's integrity is a joke this lad never complains at a decision and is a perfectly sporting gentleman.

Stoke player was a great big fucking fairy & did a Ronaldo, it was cheating of the lowest kind. Even Graeme Poll said this morning it wasn't a red card & we should appeal it & he never gave us sweet FA in his whole career.

When did Graeme Poll suddenly become the all-seeing eye of referees? He was shit, got dogged abuse from most fans of all clubs week in week out and can't even count up to two.

My opinion is that it was a yellow card, i don't think it was anything deliberate but you don't need to push off 6'5" defenders in the throat unless you want to play with fire and risk getting sent off. That's what he did and i can't honestly see them overturning it.

I have to say lads what goes round comes round. Last week Mr Adebayor lay down on the floor pulling his own shirt. Once Faye was sent off(rightly) Mr Bayor got up with a nice handshake from lescot thrown in.

Yes, but Faye wasn't sent off for violent conduct, he was sent off for a foul when he was the last man between Ade and the goal. Faye clearly had hold of Ade's shirt and so the foul was rightly given, whether Ade had gone down or not. That's not true with Shawcross - if he hadn't gone down there's no way Ade would have been sent off. And Ade was pulling his own shirt to show what faye had been doing to him - I might have forgiven Shawcross if he had repeatedly punched himself in the face to demonstrate what he believed Ade had done. Come to think of it, I'll still forgive him if he punches himself in the face a few times...

Some of you lot have clearly never been smacked very hard in the thorax.

Instead of blaming Shawcross and Fuller, how about asking why Adebayor decided to swing his arm at Shawcross with ONE intention only?

For the record it was not the thorax or neck

It was a shit decison and if Shawcross hadn't gone down like he had been shot then play would have carried on with us in an attacking position. As Bennett didn't see Huth carry out an identical move on Bellamy can the FA review that and ban Huth. After all it isn't the first time Huth has been caught off the ball using his elbow. What about Fuller continually swearing and queastioning every decision after he had been booked. All I want is consistency from refs and the FA.

Bellamy didn't go down because he didn't want to cheat. But Shawcross went down which conned the referee. Thats the difference!
Shawcross conned Bennett by embellishing Ade's (Ade was trying to shrugged him off) outstretched arm action after continual tugging and pulling his shirt, cutching and clawing his arm.
The Stoke defender said: “We just had a tussle and he caught me in the face and knocked me down. But I got up straight away and I didn’t make anything of it.
“I wasn’t expecting him to get sent off, it was just one of those things. The referee decided he’s caught me in the face and it is a red card.
“I can’t change that, but I didn’t roll around. I thought I was pretty honest.”

You are absolutely wrong about Ade's hitting the THROAT! See my post above.
Just because Poll was wrong or made errors before does not preclude him from making qualified statements or opinions about referee decisions!
As for you, erring on the 'THROAT' statement, does that mean you will be forever wrong and 'shitty' on your posts here? No, I won't hold you to that!

I'm not really sure what your post above is supposed to show be honest mate. You just said it wasn't his throat and that's it. I generally go by what i can see with my own eyes as it's usually the best way.

Here's the video and the slo-mo is at 6:50. If that's not in the throat, i'm at a loss as to what part of the body it is but then again i'm not a doctor so perhaps i don't have the necessary expertise. Neck perhaps?

Perhaps it was because Shawcross was all over him and he was trying to palm him off. Don't come
on here trying to justify the thuggish way your team plays. I don't believe Shawcross intended to
break Ramsey's leg for one second and I would appeal the red card. That doesn't negate the fact
that Stoke are simply a team of cloggers with a freak who can throw the ball a long way.
