Hope Shay has a great season where ever he goes, wonderful keeper, and deserves to be a number one, were just in a freak sitiuation where both our keepers are top class.
I imagine a suitable number two will be bought in as cover for Hart.

This is absolutely brilliant! People are saying we should keep him so that if Hart gets injured, we have quality back-up. Well if we can get a 24hr recall clause, Shay Given IS still our back up! Only he'll be really match sharp and wont have splinters in his arse. If we can get such a clause in the agreement, then a loan deal is far and away the best option for us.

Is there something stronger than a gentlemans agreement in place allowing Shay to always have 1st team footy, where ever that may be found?

It could be one of the reasons why he signed on so early in 'the project'.

Just pure speculation though.
