She Believes Cup

I said when gargoyle II was appointed that it was a disastrous appointment. And so it has proved to be.

I simply don’t know what the FA was thinking when it appointed someone, who at the time of his engagement in the job had had no previous front-line coaching experience. As others have said, it was obvious to me that he was given the job solely on the strength of the club he used to play for.

The FA is absolutely fucking clueless!

They were clueless before they appointed Neville and, in all likelihood, they will remain clueless when he has been sacked..

And his replacement? If they appoint a woman with proven success at FAWSL or better, then they might have learned summat, but I expect they will come from the ever-growing mob of 'FA yes people'!

I watched the She Believes England matches and I was terribly disappointed. It's good that there is a large representation from the Man City women's team, but even some of these players failed to impress. I am no fan of Milly Bright, because she appears to panic and often her clearances, including those when she is under no pressure, goes to the opposition. I can only think that we don't have anyone else good enough in this position, although against Spain she played better. I also think that we are weak at left back where as another poster wrote Tobin Heath was a class above (I hate to say it!) Greenwood. Our midfield didn't shine, including the City players of Stanway or Walsh. Nobbs certainly deserved women of the match in the 2nd game, but was not quite as effective against Spain. I don't really care whether the men or womens team win a trophey, I would just like to see one of the two finally collect some silverware. 1966 is a far distant memory!
