She Believes Cup

They currently should look to the States, Germany etc, the powerbases for womens football and get the very best with an Englishwoman as number 2 who can learn.

Our WSL should be producing a national side that is performing much better than this.

I agree with all of what you said. I'd even include Spain as a place to look for a manager if people are concerned about the Lionesses not having good enough technique/ball skills. The Spain women's team have a reputation as being one of the best technical sides out there. The knock on them is they can't finish. I suppose the problem plaguing the youth game for boys in England is the same for the women's team, managers and coaches that coach an outdated style of play and not focusing on ball skills?

And as you said, Germany would also be excellent. The coach of my daughter's previous team played in and learned to coach in Germany. He had the team playing the German style of total football, attack as a team and defend as a team. I can only see that being a good thing for about any side.

Rather a perplexing and somewhat paradoxical scenario over the appointment. I understood that there were several applicants with coaching experience within the women's game, including our own Nick Cushing, but they all seemed to fall by the wayside - not clear whether they jumped ship over an issue or whether the FArce had a plank for them to walk along! And then along comes Herman! No application, fuck all experience of coaching a women's team, in fact, no more experience than I've had coaching a women's football team, but, heyho, the FArce works in mysterious ways, their wonders to behold!

England women have gone steadily backwards under his 'tutelage'! They have some very good players but he can't transmit one ounce of intelligence into their game!

Appointed on no more of a basis than he once ran about at The Swamp!

When the England vacancy came up the FA wrote a series of criterion for the appointment. Frankenstein didn't meet any of those criterion but was still offered the post !

Phil Chuckle said after the WC if he fails he'd walk.

Being coach for Team UK at the Olympics seems to have "parked" that idea.

Neville has been an absolute disaster as a manager. He only got the job through the ‘old-tie-network’. Terrible appointment.

Exactly. The Lionesses have most definitely gone backwards under Chuckle Jnr. Lack of coaching ability clearly runs in the family.
