Sheffield United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Clean sheet and 3 points.
Still not clinical enough up front but hopefully Haaland and Kev both back soon but we all said, stay in contention till Jan and we have done so.
Another Ref though who officiates depending on the shirt colour with fouls given to them and identical fouls not given on us

I thought we were excellent second half. Not so great in the first, particularly the last 20 mins of it.

Rodri controlled the game for us and Ake was superb at the back intercepting everything they tried.

Nice second half from Foden and Bobb. Silva consistently good throughout,

Never exciting games against these so a clean sheet and controlled win is just the job. Cheered me up after a miserable Christmas with a manky chest infection.

Credit to Sheffield United. They're extremely well-drilled and made it hard work.

Phil MOTM, again. Bobb continues to make the most of every opportunity he gets.

FINALLY a clean sheet as well!
Shef U seemed to settle for a 2-0 defeat.
constant long ball kicking as well from the goalie - just not going to work in modern premier league football with how skillful the defenders are.

TBF if they convert one of those chances in the first half, it's likely a different game. Wilder set them up as well as they could IMO. If they tried to go toe-to-toe with us, they'd get wiped off the pitch.

Foden starting to run games on a regular basis (alongside Rodri). he is starting to take the final step up it seems.

Bobb with a great cameo.

Nathan Ake - what a pro he is......Im surprised he isnt talked about as a potential captain ( as well considering he was Bournmouth capt before he came to us).

No need to risk KDB in that game...give him another week of training or 2 with the FA cup and then let him loose on Newcastle (maybe a cameo in the FA cup if all goes to plan)]

Just really wish we could give Rodri a rest at some point in games.

He now has 2 weeks off. He don’t need to play Uddesfield.
