Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking to ITV:

"Excellent performance, we cannot forget three days ago we were in Munich.

"It took a lot to be here, to try it. We suffered in some actions with long balls. In the end with the quality from Riyad [Mahrez] and the rest of the guys we did it.

"The quality of Riyad we have seen for many years in this country, also with Leicester. [He is a] huge mentality competitor. Huge ambition to score goals. Scoring at the end of the first half was so important.
"The question is not to be in this stage of the competition, it is where we came from fighting for many years fighting for the titles. Being there every year means the mentality of the club - not just the players - is there.
"It is an honour to be in the FA Cup final on 3 June. We will be here. Today we played really good, everyone was serious."1682187451160.gif

I was in block 523 and never seen so many people who didnt appear interested in the game. A lot of tourists but also a lot of people who just seemed to be there for a free day out. Weird

Great stuff

Looked at times we played with one eye on Wednesday and other games ahead, which isn't a bad thing. You always felt we could go through the gears if we truly had to.

Delighted to be in the final, seems like we should be buzzing more about it in a way, its the FA Cup final, but for us it's every game is big for the rest of the season. I'll surely be buzzing for the final when it comes around though. Definitely shouldn't take these moments for granted, we would have been dying for this in the past.

Really don't want United in the final.

As great as it would be to twat them on the way to a treble, there is no way PiGMOL wouldn't be more of an influence, IMO. That and if they knew they were in a losing position, they'd try and cripple our players before a potential CL Final.

Manchester City have become the first team to reach the FA Cup final without conceding a single goal since Everton in the 1965-66 season, who went on to beat Sheffield United’s city rivals Sheffield Wednesday in that year’s final (3-2).

Mixed feelings about that. Would love to give the rags a real twatting in the final, but never want them to win any games, so will be hoping Brighton do similar

Same, can't decide if I want to see them dumped out of their 2 glimmers of hope in the space of a few days, or if I want to see us get the chance to humiliate them in a final.

Easy win.Thought the Sheffield support was very quiet as well.
Only time I heard them was queuing for the underground after the match.
Lairy as fuck round baker street as well.

Had one young lad walking towards me calling me a wanker. I was holding my 10 year old daughters hand.
Swivvel eyed thick yorkshire bastard.

I calmly said “im with my daughter” and looked at him pitifully til he sloped off mumbling yorkish
