Apparently female professional players are 6 times more likely, surely that needs investigating? Any patterns or correlations in injuries, particularly at the higher levels of the game need investigating because the results may help to prevent future issues.

Without as much muscle mass to protect their tendons and ligaments from damage, females tend to sustain more sports-related injuries than males. No mystery here. Nothing to discuss, really.
