Mahrez wasn't great, but Sterling was excellent particularly in the first half created some great opportunities for Torres and started the move for the goal.

Yeah I agree, Sterling was great in the first 45, but my god he is sloppy!

Big three points. First half was like the City from two season ago. We look so much more solid and physically dominant at the back with the defensive trio of Rodri,Laporte and Diaz. Torres made lots of great runs and is an actual threat from crosses.

Walker and De Bruyne should be no where near that champions league game in mid week. I’d also rest Rodri and give Doyle an opportunity but I doubt that’s likely.

I’m not one for verbally abusing City players, regardless of poor performances but I think Pep needs to bench Mahrez for a while and see how he goes as an impact sub, as some in here say, he doesn’t fit the way he’s playing at the moment, his vision is poor and he needs to stop showboating ... Some of the abuse against him in the match day thread needs to be toned down, it’s not acceptable for Blues to be so vitriolic against one of our own ....

Playing inverted wingers against a back 5 is the crazy thing. Mahrez should only play against a back 4 to allow him space to do things.
