Sheffield Wednesday - 6 more points deducted! (P37)

As any self respecting Owl will tell you, Sheffield Wednesday are Yorkshire's most successful club historically
Which is delicious isn't it (no offence to my Blades mates), if you know what I mean !

Yet they've never been champions of Europe, as Leeds fans think they were.
Leeds fans....says it all!
A club and a place that is universally hated in Sheffield. Some Blades and Owls actually detest them even more than their nearest rivals.

Absolutely HUGE for Sheff Wed. Rohl is a bit special and he should be way above Wednesday (with all due respect) and the fact he's stuck though the shit with them and STILL wants to stick through the shit with them is going to make him a legend there.

He’s obviously not been paid recently, the poor guy can’t afford socks.

Fingers crossed those hopes come to fruition and he does indeed stay put for them.

Light at the end of the tunnel.

Let’s hope this goes through and Wednesday go from strength to strength.

As Ferris Bueller once said "Life moves pretty fast" (one for the kids there ;)

For Rohl to be staying and then the takeover gathering pace, maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel.

If/When the takeover happens first thing we need to do is chuck the Golden Elephants in the River Don (he had them installed at the entrance to the club when he took over for good luck, that went well didn't it!!) and then remove his name from the North Stand seats.

Port Vale - not even a place
Port Vale is based in Burslem, one of the pottery towns and home to Wedgwood. The club was founded as Port Vale but became officially Burslem Port Vale for a while before reverting to Port Vale.
It is named after the ‘Valley of Ports’ a series of ports on the Burslem branch of the Trent and Mersey canal.

Here’s hoping for the best for you and your club, mate.

Port Vale - not even a place
First went there for a friendly (it definitely wasn't on the terraces) in 1971. Didn't have a clue where it was but the Rothmans Football Yearbook gave Burslem as the nearest railway station and that is how we (or more accurately, my Dad) found out where it was.

The scope growth that a new owner could do for Sheffield Wednesday is easy top 6 in premier they are a massive club! If they are doing well in premier they’d easily sell out 50/60k stadium!

What a superb book was Rothmans. Every detail you could ever imagine.
