Sheffield Wednesday (A) - FA Cup R5 Post-Match Thread

Too many players trying too hard to impress for more game time. Nobody on the pitch directing how things should go either and Pep on the sidelines getting more and more frustrated that they weren't doing what he told them to. But like the club in a cup compettion, we move on.

Wasteful as ever but one shot against in 90 plus mins is not to be sniffed at. Job done and a tricky but winnable tie in Geordieland where the masses will be getting giddy at the thought of a day out in the Smoke!

Congratulations guys

Was always going to be a game of attack & defend, as I said to my lad far better teams than us have been taken to the cleaners by City. It felt like you had 14 men on the pitch at times

Positives for me were Wildsmith who's not played for the 1st team for 18 months, Iorfa and young Alex Hunt when he came on.

Good luck in the rest of the competition.

The camera person was a disgrace tonight. Was filming anything but the match.
Spot on. It’s a bugbear of mine just how much of the game is missed these days due to cvntish directors pissing about but today really took the biscuit. Random shots of the crowd including one bizarre occasion when the camera lingered just long enough to see their fans make two fingered gestures, irrelevant shots from the blimp, ridiculous shots from behind a tree at one corner of the ground etc etc. Absolute fucking disgrace,

You played well and supported your team well. It was nice going back to Hillsborough for the first time since we won there 6-2 in 2001. Easy drive in, and easy park, friendly locals and a good old fashioned English stadium for my lad to see. The game was poor but I enjoyed the evening. Good luck getting back to the premier league where you belong.

Well done to your team tonight you should be proud of them their defence was brilliant don't know why you're struggling in the league. The keeper was unlucky with the goal he had a great game Nicky Weaver's taught him well
