Sheffield Wednesday thread

So pleased for Sheffield Wednesday supporters everywhere and especially my friends. New owners and no points deduction for next season and they can start with complete clean slate. There is much work to be done to renovate a creaking ground stuck in the 1990s, training ground and recruitment which includes the squad.
And finally they have got their first league win of the season to end a prolonged nightmare period. Very best wishes to them for the future.

My only concern for them is that yesterday some pundits were saying the new owners wanted things tied up before the new regulator is in post. Is that because they have something to hide or because they expect the regulator to be another waste of space with too much authority?

2nd win I think.

Absolutely delighted for Sheff Wednesday. A great old traditional club with a great support. Knowing what they’ve been through this must be a huge relief and thankfully that bastard Ashley never got his claws into the club!

Hope they have a great season coming and start their journey back up the leagues.

I’ve said it before but I’d love another trip down to give you a money spinning friendly. Great memories

Just read that they had the highest championship attendance of the season today; 33,750 at Hillsborough. If that is correct it's remarkable, given the shitshow they've been dealing with during the last 10 months.

New owner confirmed and no points deduction next season - best result they have had this season
The news before the game was the best of the season, seeing a win after how hard it has been was the icing on the cake.
Happy for them. They were royally fucked over by Chansiri.
In a bizarre twist of fate, Tuna Boy being Tuna Boy helped us get the -15 wiped.

The narcissist that he is refused to engage with the new owners who were looking to do a deal, if he converted his loans to shares (like most owners do) they could have made a financial offer which removes the points deduction and he gets something back.

But in true Chancer fashion he buried his head in the sand and ignored them, I hope now we never have to speak about this "successful businessman" (sic) again.

I'm not getting carried away think next year will be us at the top end of the table, as the squad needs players to compete in League 1, but at least now the summer will be more enjoyable than last.

Also the retro owl badge is back, which has gone down well as the current one will always remind people of "his" ownership as he was the one that swapped it from the old one.

Hopefully teams like City will be happy how we've managed Heskey and the game time we've given him to look at loaning us other players. Ndala obviously didn't work our but I think that was more down to him, he was constantly late for team meetings, training etc be interesting where he goes next after City.

What a tit, will probably end up working at McDonalds.

Tuna Twat being himself seems to have done the trick. Some big fish in L1 next season but I fancy Wednesday for at least the play offs.
