Sheikh Khaled attempting to purchase Newcastle

Bring it on, hope it's true but wasnt he supposedly interested in investing in Liverpool until it became common knowledge and the morality police got involved

There is the "new owners rule". Using this, they can overspend ffp limits provided they can demonstrate that they will be within the limits in a reasonable time. This rule was introduced when the two Milan clubs were taken over and new owners complained that refinancing was impossible under ffp. Of course, UEFA may not approve the business plan. Wonder what excuse they would use? Ah yes, " Sorry you're not a G14/16 club".
G14 has been disbanded but the likes of Gill, Agnelli (Juve), Parry and now Nasser
Al-Khelafi from PSG are running UEFA, corrupt as fuck, the latter from Qatar is being investigated for bribery and corruption.

Won't make much difference Imo. Rich owners can't spend millions of their own money on players because of ffp, city were the last club to benefit from a major takeover before ffp came in to effect. City's owner is worth billions but he can't spend it on players, before ffp a different
matter.

Apparently they asked him to show proof of funds and he never did, if he’s not bluffing and he’s got 2 billion burning a hole in his back pocket and he’s buying the club for £350 million the Geordies need to get their tea towels on their heads and party like it’s 2008. Good luck to them if true.

There is thats just a uefa rule not a ffp premier rule Gill the K@nt wrote it up himself.

In which case,if the takeover comes about, the Newcastle fans will have to be patient when their club isnt breaking transfer records left right and centre.

Some of their unenlightened followers will then see what we've been banging on about for years about ffp.

Unfortunately as we were saying all along the drawbridge has been pulled up. Going to be very difficult with FFP to bridge the gap and the Geordies will now realise what we were talking about.

With newcastles present league position and the rule that you can amount losses up to 100million if you can prove it's a one off should give a serious invester one shot at spending big and with a manager like rafa it is realistic they could get themselves in a position to break top 7 and take a fine (or posble points deduction) initially.

If the possible owner is worth 2 billion and willing to take an initial hit financially, I say fuck it let them break prem FFP rules nd piss off the usual ****s that berate us.
