It would've cost us a lot more to get it done in gold lettering, not sure why but that's what the printers told us so we got it done in white.

606, my original view was thus....

the banner was designed as a cooperative venture between like minded city fans to show our gratitude to the sheik. as a cooperative venture i felt any decisions on its design should have been put to vote with those in the "community". this was never the case, inserting the url on the banner was not on any mock ups and was never discussed on the board. i felt that inserting the website address in such a large font cheapened the banner and used its sentiment to promote this site. to me that was never its original intention and not what i donated towards.

i have spoken to ric privately on this matter and am happy to accept that the url was not inserted to promote this site, but merely to show the sheik where the banner idea/donations came from. to reiterate i am perfectly happy to accept this explanation. i was offered the £10 donation back and refused it.

you may agree with me on this, you may not. frankly i wont be losing any sleep over it, life is too short.
 
fantastic idea, well done Kinky, will it be up for the Wolves game, i have not donated but will do so tonight, it can go to charity....

The banner has now been made, and is going to be taken to the ground tomorrow to be put up in time for the Wolves game. It's bloody huge, so we couldn't get a great picture of it (only managed to get it half unrolled and it took up the whole car park):

If anyone can get a decent picture of it on Saturday that'd be great. We're hoping it will be put up in the East Stand, but still awaiting confirmation.
