Sheikh Mansour selling up?

Obviously!
That’s why he’s pumped so many hundred millions into the stadium expansion this year.
I doubt the shareholder puts a penny into the club anymore and won’t have done for a considerable time. Mansour owns shares in the CFG to make moeny from the organisation.

City are completely self sustainable now. We haven’t spent a net spend above the TV Broadcasting Revenue since 2014 and only have a 58% wages to turnover ratio.

Mansour could sell all his shares in the CFG tomorrow and I doubt we’d notice at City as long as the sponsors didn’t leave with him.

The rags are getting excited about the group from UAE that is supposedly buying them. What a pity that the rules that they championed will now hamstring them in terms of sponsorship.
I'm confused, if we're state owned and it's a very very big if there is actually some legs to the rags getting a UAE backer then surely they'll also become state owned by definition and a state isn't allowed to own 2 clubs or maybe we'll suddenly not be state owned anymore?

That's not in their remit is it?
Well, it is and it isn’t, that’s lawyer speak. Whatever is or is not specifically laid down cannot rule out oversight of the rules, otherwise they are not regulating at all. Leagues would be free to have all sorts of nutty provisions if they can get the votes. See ‘Associated parties’ which was made up on the spot to stop Newcastle increasing their income while at the same time ruling that a club owned by a sovereign wealth fund owned by a state and managed by a gov minister was not in state ownership. Hmmm…
This one will run and run. More bunce for Pannick and his pals.

If this dips lad is a blue.
Or just on a wind up.
?? I've no idea I'm an old **** don't know what NewsNow or what ever it is.
But just for a minute imagine it was true .
The great man who let us dream beyond the impossible dream.
He let us all kiss the sky and then after that win 4 in a row....
But for all he's has done for us.
And all we have won and achieved.
The most important thing that has ever happened to man city was pep.

But if it was true and he was selling how you you feel.

Personally

I'm 48.
Me dad told me when I was about 6 I was going to be a city fan.
He took me and my best mate against Cardiff I think it was two all April ISH 1985.
Three games later Charlton.
I couldn't believe that many people could get into one place .
We were in the bit between the Maine stand and north stand.
After the game me dad said to me and Mick wait there I'm going on the pitch.

I swear even 40 years later that was the moment I fell in love with city.
My dad had tears in his eyes.
The next time I saw him cry was when Sergio scored against QPR.
Long story short man city have
been my life since I was 7 .
His royal Highness gave us something that wasn't even on our radar.
Just not possible .
Why he brought city I don't know.
But I'm glad he did.
Are these song lyrics?

Anyone else putting two and two together? Sheikh Mansour looking to sell up, the rags have interest from a mystery Middle Eastern party. He's buying them isn't he???

1. Our ultimate parent is Newton investments which is a PRIVATE FUND owned by Mansour. Not a state fund, so we are deffo NOT state owned.
2. It depends on who the supposed backer of the rags is. They may be from the UAE, but just private individuals. I doubt that the gov will be involved in ownership. A group of rich Emiratis could easily afford the 5bn needed.
