Neither here nor there!
The Sheikh has a new yacht called "BLUE". It is a 160m Lurssen built yacht with 15.320 GT. This makes it the second largest yacht in the world by volume after Dilbar (Alisher Usmanov's yacht). Capable of hosting up to 46 guests and 80 crew with a max speed of 21-22 knots and cruising speed or around 16-18 knots. Some of the known features include a dancefloor, steam room, sauna, beauty salon, elevator, underwater lights, satellite communications, beach club, gym, deck jacuzzi, WiFi and air conditioning and 2 heli pads.

Here is some footage of it leaving the shipyard before being delivered to the Sheikh...

Nice. I love spotting yachts when I'm abroad.

Barcelona is great for superyacht spotting. So is Corfu.
Yeah i see a lot of yt vids from people in Barcelona. The best footage of Dilbar docking i think is at Barcelona. Gibraltar is good for spotting them to, something about good fuel prices and it being the first port after an atlantic crossing, i think, not sure. You will likely know the details about that better than me as i am the proverbial noob with yachts. I know a fair few but only the main big boys like NORD, Eclipse, Solaris, Azzam, Dilbar etc etc

I got a really good photo of Ocean Victory last summer. It was moored up just off the coast of Mon Repos in Corfu while i was there.

You sound to know as much if not more than me. At the minute there's loads moored near Marmaris in Turkey evading sanctions. I use marine traffic on the ipodphone to track them.

That is a beast of a yacht. Is that the app you reccomend for seeing where they are moored? "marine traffic"?

I heard about that with the Russian yachts, a load are currently seized and in some cases being sold off i read. Turkey defo the place to be to get some good footage or pics.

Aye, marine traffic. It's free too. A bit like Flight Radar but for boats.

A guy I know put a picture on of Eclipse in Turkey just in storage. Shame to see, but obviously sanctions are needed.

Does the mere word " yacht " do it justice?

The top bit has definitely got hi-tech warship vibes.... he's off up the Mersey to offer out the dippers I reckon.
