Shooting / Rioting in Paris

I didnt actually see a thread for this. But what's peoples thoughts on this incident..

Seems clear and dry to me they shot an unarmed someone (Again) because the officer panicked. Too many people being shot by our police services, it seems to be the got-to solution. Anyway, just my pov. Sad event though and I hope the officer wasnt just a shit, and that there was a real reason to shoot this kid but I'm struggling to see how or why.

“Too many people being shot by our police services” - please explain

If you look at the scale of these riots - it's clear there is much more to this now than the original shooting.

Not anti-immigration but this is why you don't open the floodgates for them. These are all blokes from North Africa who are disenfranchised.

I want to give you a like, but the truth is I will probably offend someone and the truth is likely to be somewhere in between.

Riots are like fly paper, they also attract anybody (regardless of colour or origin) who just wants to also stick it to the establishment and have a ruck.

oi ,the transfer season is in full swing, i would appreciate it if you would give that your full attention, there's a couple of posters who are desperate for information, stick up one of your famous videos, that will keep him,i mean them happy and guessing. :)

Good on them, absolutely nothing wrong in keeping the elite and wankers at the top on their toes, we can learn anawful lot from the French, we are weak and comply with everything
There were riots here when some gun-toting scrotey drug dealer got shot.
When it comes to people being financially reamed by the elites ... just a shrug of the shoulders

He didn't say it was fair, he said it was avoidable. Which is absolutely correct. Why try to drive off? Stevie Wonder could see that was a stupid thing to do. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
I asked him if he thought it was fair. IE right to shoot someone for just driving away from the police.

The reason for driving off is irrelevant. A person could have misunderstood the request, foot slipped, panicked. Or could have done it to just run away.

All of those reasons he could have been shot. Is that right..?

Without knowing the full facts of the case, it's impossible to say. If he was shot just for driving off, THAT seems harsh. Hopefully, all the facts will come out.

Maybe the facts when they come out will show he had a gun or bomb, or threatened to run the police over. But maybe his foot did slip, or he didn't understand the language.

So the default action shouldn't be to shoot people for just driving away. I think that's common sense to be fair.

Death then? For driving away, are you saying that's fair?
No, but if you choose to drive away from an armed cop you are setting the scene and taking the risk.

Whether the bullet kills or injures you is down to chance..... best not to drive off, unless you have something to hide that is?

Setting what scene? Running away?

And if he did have something to hide (Drugs maybe), should the response be shoot him?
If he drives off quickly yes... could have been drugs, could have been a gun, could have been a bomb... who knows?

In the climate where there in rioting going on of course you have to stop him.

So you'd be perfectly content to see him waved through only to potentially commit more (potentially worse) crime down the line. Fair enough, on that we will disagree.

..... If only he hadn't tried to get away eh. No sympathy from me I'm afraid.

Yes. What crime? He hasnt done anything yet besides drive away. You seem to have decided he IS a criminal?

But yes lets disagree to agree.

The riots happened afterwards btw, unless I missed something?
