Should Dzeko start on Sunday?

On another topic, the Matchday forum on here is P.O.I.S.O.N.

A little story:

This was one of the very few City games since last year I wasnt able to watch. So on my way home I find out the final score is 2:1. I'm going balistic, thinking "OMG, how huge is this win, thank you God, thank you"..All excited and happy I get on the matchday forum - and I swear to God for a while I was unsure if we won or we got demolishe?? I even re-checked the score. People are calling for heads, trashing players, questioning the manager, formation, substitutions...All the excitment was gone in about two minutes.

Some people here need reality check. I'm sure as hell not visiting matchday forum any more - as I want to ENJOY City wins, without having to read all bitching and moaning all the time.

I think it WILL depend on formation RM wants to go with.

So we can all discuss qualities, etc. but that's really what it will come down to.

Dzeko isn't best suited to be a lone striker. But guess what - neither is Aguero. Together they are pretty good. Mario could play lone striker, but would RM really bench both Dzeko and Aguero? That'd be too defensive...

Some people here just refuse to see that we have three fing awesome strikers, so these worries are good.

Also people bashing Dzeko - just remember there is about 80% (or even more) of EPL teams who would start him in an instance.

unfortunally EPL will be win by the other 20%

i think you dzeko fans should really STOP with this arguments about how good dzeko could be if he played at wigan or fulham coz you really dont do to the guy any favour. either he is good enough for play in a top team or just he is an average player.

Missed the point. Nothing new. See my little story above - you're perfect example of that.

i'm perfect example of fucking what ???? i challenge you to find a negative post of mine or a my post in the matchday forum or , and this is the important , a my post where i say balotelli [my preferite player] should be loaned/sold anywhere so he can play week in week out

I'm happy with this team. More than happy, actually. Maybe you are too.

But you definitely missed the point of my first post. I was only talking about formation influence for sunday, nothing else really...and somehow you're calling me out AGAIN. What's up with that? :-) Relax mate, it's not all about Dzeko to me, believe it or not.

i agree with you about the importance of the formation , of course.

but , at the end of the day , if ATM dzeko isnt on his best form and balo is then you should know that balo can play both as a lone striker and in a couple with almost everybody given that in his career he has played in couple with ibrahimovic , adriano , cruz , milito , tevez and dzeko.

Well - look at my post at Matchday RE: the Sunday lineup. I think Balo should start as he in last two games is showing great form, so no disagreement there.

I also said two posts ago that he can play lone striker too - so no disagreement there either.

I do think RM will give Dzeko significant minutes in 2nd half on Sunday. Reason? Great record vs. Rags (5 goals in 6 games against them, including Wolfsburg). If tied or losing - he will get a chance to get a winner. I just want a win either way :-)

Here is a question for you - if someone offered you a tie on Sunday - would you take it???

Given that is an away game, I think I would.

Please enlighten us why dont you support him (stay behind all of your players) even when they dont perform good? Just see how ex and current Chelsea trainer and fans are supporting Fernando Torres.

How much did they pay him? 50M
How many goals he scored since then? Approximately 6 or 7.
How many games did he played, percentage wise? About 90%.

Why dont you compare other 10 players form line up to Samaras, Darrius, Crouch, Ibrahimson (lol), etc.?

I think Villas Boas has handled Torres' lack of form with considerable tact and intelligence. I agree players not performing need support.

I think you are getting a little confused, i don't think many fans hate him but many fans have expressed their disappointment as they now realised he is not the player they thought he was going to be, and his sudden show of promise at the beginning of the season was more down to the defence he faced than his sudden increase in ability.
Dont get me wrong i like the guy he plays with a smile on his face but i have a feeling once Tezes replacement is here Dzeko will be spending a lot of time on the bench.
