Should Dzeko start on Sunday?

one more thing

if Aguero didn't score that goal, Dzeko would have, and then everything would have been forgotten...

Not at all. Hes had 1 good game all season and that was against Spurs. He might have scored goals in other games but he was poor in them. Scoring goals isnt enough as you need to work for the team and hold the ball up. He was at fault in the CS, firstly for Smallings goal and then for the fact that he couldnt hold the ball up and keep posession. I've never rated him and said hes too slow and clumsy to succeed in the prem now its more about speed and technique.
No way should he be in the line up for Sunday, i'd play the same team that played Villa apart from Silva and Aguero in for Aj and Yaya.

Just how it works some times. We could play 'on fire' Mario and Milner at the weekend, both have mares, and we all wonder why we didn't play Dzeko and Nasri.

Personally I think we should play Balo just because he seems perfect for big games. The harder the challenge the better he is. When he's crap is when he thinks he can coast something because the opposition aren't worth his effort.

Exeter Blue I am here said:
Start? He should be boiled for fucking glue. Souness has just lambasted him and rightly so. Alright when he's got oceans of space in front of him, but one of the worst forwards you'll ever see with his back to goal. Everything bounces off his shins, nothing sticks and his failure to get his body between defender and ball verges on the fucking criminal.

Guess you haven't watched him against France just this last Tuesday??

I understand frustration about someone's particular game, but I fucking hate dumb posts and exaggerations like you just made.

Dzeko is not off form, as shown by two beautiful goals in the last week.
But something is fishy in terms of his play in the team set up lately.

That said - Mario and Kun should start. I just hate people spewing bunch of garbage and generalizations.

Why is everyone adamant Balotelli should start? We can't afford to have a passenger against a team who haven't lost at home for 19 games.

Now, I know Balotelli could have a stormer but at the moment is it really worth the risk?

If you want evidence think back to the last time he played against them, he had an absolute shocker, probably his worst game for City. You need to guarantee that every player will be pulling in the same direction on Sunday and we know that Balotelli will only do this if he feels like it

I'd start him on the bench and if we need him then I believe he could come on and cause a great threat to them or equally he could lose his head. Either way the risk is much lower.

We simply cannot bank on Balotelli being up for this game.
