Viera is only in the squad to help the younger inexperienced players, to instill a self belief and a winning mentality.
Silv,a NDJ, Toure and one other in the midfield or maybe even a 5 man midfield playing Silva behind Tevez. Silver can terrorise defences and can play on both the left and the right, plus it gives you the option of AJ on the right who again can switch. Toure is not as defence minded as many make out and can go forward. I certainly would not say he is a defensive as NDJ, but NDJ cannot be allowed to leave.
I can see why Bridge was allowed to leave chelsea and he should go. Thats why we have bought Boatang isn't it? Surely if need be Lescott, Kolo, Onhuo and Richards can play left or right back if they were needed?
