Should we be worried about our ageing squad?

I may have made one or two mistakes, but I'm pretty sure I've got most of them right. My post clearly states how old players will be or will be turning at the end of the season (i.e next year, 2015). If they haven't yet had their birthday then I've used the age they will be turning. Aguero will indeed be turning 27 next year, Jovetic 26.

Jovetic is 24 now (2/11/89) so you're wrong there.
But you could surely take it a little further and show us the average age of the squad in say, 4 years if we signed nobody and all our young prospects flopped?

Our squad are in their prime and as time goes by they will be filtered out for new blood as the team evolves, for now they are awesome so sit back and enjoy them for the next 4 seasons +

I think this is one reason why we brought Mangala in. It is clear that we now plan to keep players here long term and the powers that be probably see Mangala as being as good as Kompany in 2/3 years time.

I expect our transfer policy in the next few years will be bringing in players who are in the 23/24 age group. Experienced enough to be good enough but young enough to bide their time and develop.

Mangala kinda cancels out the imminent departure of Nasty though.

I do hope that becomes a strong focus of our transfer policy - I see Barkley from Everton being a real coup/focal point should he recover well from injury and Everton not ask for anything too exorbitant from us.

We could sign 2 of Isco(22/23), Barkley(20/21) and Pogba(21/22) within the next 2 windows whilst letting Negredo and Milner go, two 29/30 yr olds
