I know we’re royally fucked off with Uefa and with good reason, but I can’t understand any blue not wanting to see us up against the very best in Europe. Winning this competition is an absolute must for our club, surely ?

I get that and it would be great for the club. I have posted elsewhere that with VAR and Corruption my love for the game is tested to breaking point. Not my love for City though. Saturday aside we are an outstanding cup team, perhaps the best the country has seen given the run we have been on until the weekend. Two legged games as something else and require another skill set, I still think IF..... we are given a fair shot we have to be in good shape to win the whole thing.

Not sure you can justify that, in 50-odd years watching City I've heard all sorts of barmy comments and opinions from our fans, nothing surprises me any more.I'm out before I'm banned again.

The Champions League is as much about Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Mbappe as it is about intrigue and politics and surely you can distinguish between them? The more that the likes of Liverpool football club and media broadcasters try and cast City as the villain, the more we should be determined to win it.I get that and it would be great for the club. I don't think this is our best side by a long way, but you never know.

We are out of the FA cup. Only up side is 1 less game to play. But the EC will be gruelling and, given our draw, very difficult to win. It will take us up to the start of next season with little rest. UEFA will do all they can to stuff us anyway. It will also always have an asterisk - especially if we win it. I am not arsed by it either way. But can see lots of positives to treatingg like pre season friendlies and if we then win it, so be it..
