Should we now go after the papers?

Yes. We got told the club had finally had enough of the lies being told and the orchestrated campaign against, which the media has more than played its part and they need to finally realise they cant peddle their lies about us.

Anything less is a cop out on our part and smacks of us not really giving a fuck about the lies so long as we can play in their comps and pocket the money along with the rest.

certain individuals behind this need to be brought to book.
it wont happen, we'll bend over and take it up the shitter like we have for the last 12yrs, it time the penny dropped that these fuckers wont let up unless we start making an example of a few of em but i wont hold my breath

£50 million jokes aside, he’s got a valid point. Nothing wrong in reporting the news that we were banned of course. Nothing wrong even with Tariq Panja reporting info that has been leaked to him from inside UEFA (he’s just doing his job - it’s the person who leaked it that needs to be dealt with), but it’s the narrative that so many have peddled along that we can’t possibly be innocent of these charges even before UEFA reached their verdict. That’s utterly disgraceful and needs nipping in the bud.
Some spout their nonsense because they are truly thick and clueless (usually ex dippers) but there are journos out there who have been purposely misleading a lot of people who just want the truth and many of their audience actually believe the propaganda being pushed at them is actually true. These people must have affected the build up of City's fan base worldwide and possibly cost the club much needed sponsorship needed to keep on the right side of ffp. There will be no let up in the attacks against us and ffp will be changed to ensure the cartel won't suffer, but it will continue to prevent any ambitious club from taking what they want to keep for themselves.

The club should stop the bollocks about it being a time to be humble, the cartel, media organisations and journos are out to destroy us. We should destroy them, no mercy, or one day they will stamping our necks in the mud..

Much as we'd all love the Club to change tack, and start going after some of the useless glorified fanzine writers masquerading as 'journalists' in the UK media, as City fans we should have learned by now this clearly doesn't fit in with our media/PR strategy.

We are an exceptionally well run club. Our executive and financial administration are amongst the best in the world, and we have some of the finest minds in football running the sporting side of our club - not to mention our legal team are clearly better than anyone gave us credit for, as they have so ably demonstrated in our management of the processes as UEFA and CAS.

Given the above, it's completely implausible to suggest our communications/PR team are just weak and crap at their job, and have been getting away with being crap at their job for the last 12 years unpunished.

As much as it frustrates us all when we see our Club standing by while some jumped up gobshite at the Independent or some similar rag is spouting their incoherent, factually inaccurate drivel in our direction, our position in dealing with these little public tantrums is clearly part of a strategy rather than weakness or ineptitude.

We can disagree with the Club's position on the media as much as we like, but it's clearly not going to change any time soon. We won't be 'going after' the papers in any meaningful way, no mater how much we as fans may want it to happen.

It was a classy statement from Khaldoon about humility but I really hope there are some lawyers’ letters winging their way towards some of these poisonous hacks.
I’m not advocating releasing the legendary Bluemoon shitstorm, just a gentle reminder that individuals can be called to account for spreading lies.
Some of the coverage of the verdict had been nothing short of hostile, despite the first words of the CAS statement saying very clearly that we did not disguise investment as sponsorship.

Plan of operations:

1st Panzer Division to move on, and encircle the Daily Mail HQ
Miguel Delaney to be captured by paratroopers alive to stand trial
31st infantry division to storm Independent offices then move on to the Harris's
Full scale amphibious invasion of der Speigal with a court set up in Nuremberg to try all involved.
Finally an atomic bomb to be dropped on Anfield unless their formal surrender is received.
