Showsec Block 109 today

I don't pay £750 a season to watch someone walk up and down the aisle obstructing my view every ten minutes. And I don't need telling to sit down when my team is on the attack.
It sucks all the enjoyment out of going to games.

109s not an official standing area so you're obviously going to get showsec up your arse all the time. Simple fact is you should either relocate to ss or sit down

The ShowSec lot are daft but those SEP Events kids outside the stadium are on another Monkey Level.

Stopping fans from crossing the road which crosses the Car Park (even when there are no cars going across???????????

It's safe to cross and they stop you?

I just barge through and walk across. numpties.

You said it big man kids doing what they are told to do

I think he does sit down and ShowSec keep getting in his way walking up and down standing on the aisles

Those new red plastic barriers blocking pedestrians (first time in 12 years) near the car parks were ridiculous. Just funneling fans into a bottle neck .....again. They won't last long

Ahhh the penny's dropped.
Nothing I hate more than this authoritarian bollox!,
If they start asking you all to sit down, reply with "I'M SPARTACUS!"
If everyone does it, it will hopefully diffuse any potential flare ups...
if they're going to make everyone sit, then they should introduce standing sections.
On a brighter note, maybe he was so bored he was doing his shopping list?

It went on for years in the South stand (key103 stand) I was even arrested for persistent standing. Spent 5 hours in Collyhurst nick.

I fucked off in the end, after gatecrashing and moaning at a points of blue meeting with the then chairman and Mackintosh geezer..

Had similar following early kick off with Everton on the Sunday and flag day, explained to Steward I couldn't see because someone was waving a flag in front of me but still thrown out.

Wrote to club and Mackintosh replied and got ST back which was fair enough.

Moved to level 2 South Stand and no issues with Stewards their

Dannyboy2890, I don't pay my season card money for people to keep disturbing me to go to the concourse every five minutes and believe me that takes longer than Stewards or Showsec (who we don't appear to have in CBL) walking up and down the aisle.

I'm in 109 and it's the last block down the side of the pitch on the east side. 110/111 are on the corner before the away fans. You must have been at PoB meetings when Peter Fletcher talked about the problem of 109 and standing?

He was happy to overlook it in the South Stand and 110/111 as it didn't impact any other parts of the stadium and anyone who didn't want to stand moved out of those blocks. If people stand in the blocks on the corners and behind the goal, then it doesn't impede the view of any other parts of the stadium but if people are allowed to stand on the blocks down the side, then potentially it does. Fans gravitated to 109 a few seasons ago to be near what was then the singing section in 110 and most of those fans moved to the front of the stand. Prior to that, there was no standing in 109. We're on the back row so not impeding anyone and weren't allowed to stand. People standing at the front forced people to stand behind them and this is when all the trouble started.

Cheers PB. Yes I was at those PoB meetings but couldn't remember whether 109 was the final block on the side or the first on the corner.
I remember being relocated to 105 or 106 for CL games and everybody was up and down like a bride's nightie; fair pissed me off it did.
I don't mind standing - I do it at every away game I see, it was the constant standing and sitting I objected to.
Perhaps we need the back ten rows of all level 1 blocks to be standing.
