Agree with Crouch part. He does exactly what Heskey does, but scores, so would make sense to partner him with Rooney.

I think we can match France, Germany & Italy though. Ok, they all seem to perform on the big stage, but there's no way there squad's are any better than ours.

Only team I wudn't fancy us to beat are Spain, for obvious reasons.... & posibbly Argentina is Messi continues to play like he's playing

I'm Welsh so ive watched the last 8 or so World Cups as a neatral but hope the British teams do well. Guess ill be watching the next 8 world cups as a neutral also being Welsh unless we win a bid to host it some time, we have 2 x Stadiums in Cardiff, Nice one in Swansea.......umm cant think of any others.

I hear you, my Cambrian brother! I'm fairly indifferent on England winning the World Cup, but I'll give them my support, same as any British team - although I'm not sure I'll be able to stand all the hooplah this summer if they do manage to win it.

As a welshman living in England I do get a sense of total disbelief at the sheer level of hype before and during International tournaments. Always seems to end in tears in a penalty shootout.......

Guess my indifference is cos we haven't qualified for anything since the year I was born LOL.

The missus is French so we tend to support them as a household.

Yawn , just another moron taking delight in seeing a truly outstanding player who is not only a joy to watch & a fantastic example to all young footballers suffer with injury just because he plays for another team! Let alone that the world cup is only 10 weeks away & Rooney is a vital part of our squad.

FFS I suppose you would be happier if we were the only team in the country who had any decent players so we could win everything nice & easy? Beating the Scum, Chelski, Arse or the Dippers means something because they are great teams with great players & thats the way I like it thanks very much! A win against any team that is missing its best players is at best a hollow victory & I would much rather we achieved success by beating the best teams arround with their best players on the pitch.
