I have it on good authority that Shaka Hislop is coming in to be our third choice keeper. Make of that what you will but my source is very reliable.

Surfeit of wingers, or wide players, want RVP, IPO going to Glazers and not as valuable as they thought. RVP will sell shirts and allow Baconface to get his man. Maybe a difficult decision for them just as maybe trying to offload Dzeko is for us to get RVP.

Nani? For some reason that ridiculous rumour has never left me totally in the last couple of months. I'd laugh AND cry, £20m to them for the Shit Micky, it'd never happen.

No way it is Nani. Where would he play? Instad of Nasri/Silva?
It's probably a defender or a midfielder. Striker only in that case if we found a buyer for Dzeko (and they are paying good fee.)
If it is a defender it's needed very much Savic is not good enough right now, and I would sell Kolo 1 year before his contract is up.
If it is a midfielder and an expensive one then Mancini plans whole change in midfield meaning hat NDJ and Barry wont be important players anymore for us.

And he is the kind of players who plays 30-35 matches in the league when he is not injured.
Mancini wants him (wanted him last summer in January too)----->he wants to replace Barry.

Why bid for Hazard then, where would he have played if we had signed him, from what I saw of him he operated wide left and drifted in, how would we have accomodated him with Nasri and Silva? This isn't a dig, but Nani could operate in exactly that role or the role he played for Portugal as pure right wing instead of AJ. Is he a better player than AJ? IMO yes, do I want him at City? no I think he is rag through and through been with baconface far too long. Does Mancini see this player the way we do,? I doubt it. No matter how I hate the thought of it footballing wise it makes sense. (Hate having to be clinical) :-(

Yeah, always thought De Rossi would replace Barry. Big upgrade.
Nothing against Barry, but he is 32 coming off abdominal surgery. And Nige is looking out the door in 12 months. De Rossi would be a natural fit with Rodwell for depth.
As said earlier in the thread, Javi Garcia seems like another logical choice. M'Vila is looking increasingly cheap also.
