Re: Silva major doubt for Arsenal
Hah I remember with Bobby if a player was trotted out to the press it normally meant they weren't playing.pudge said:Hopefully he's being literal with the word "we"
David Silva feels victory for Manchester City in their crunch tea-time clash at Arsenal on Saturday will make them favourites for the Premier League title.
Manuel Pellegrini's side are currently sitting in third position, but have two games in hand over Liverpool and league leaders Chelsea.
If City win all their remaining games they will be crowned champions for the second time in three seasons.
And playmaker Silva is confident of taking advantage of the Gunners' run of indifferent form by picking up all three points at the Emirates.
"I think another win would make us favourites," Silva told The Sun. "There will still be a long way to go but we'll be in a great position going into the final few weeks.
"If we win them all there is nothing anyone can do to stop us. We are very confident.
"We are a club that is improving and I'm confident that next year we will be better again.
"Winning trophies is a feeling that never changes. I had it again this year with the Capital One Cup - but you never get bored of it. Hopefully we can win the Premier League again.
"The ambition is to regain the Premier League and win the European Cup with City.
"I'm happy at Manchester City and I think you can see that from the way I play.
"The Champions League is one we are missing since I joined City - but I hope that will come one day for us.
"We played some great games in the tournament this year and I felt in the tie with Barcelona we had no luck - either in the Nou Camp or at the Etihad.
"I hope next year we will go all the way to the final and, hopefully win it."
