Ozil is by far the best player in the league atm. Ramsey is a close second. + its hard to say since silva hasent played that much ball yet.

How has Ozil played more ball than Silva? They both have similar game time.

Mesut Ozil: 5 games, 2 goals, 3 assists, 8 shots
David Silva: 5 games, 2 goals, 3 assists, 7 shots

I havn't seen Ozil play much but Silva has also been excellent holding up the and his movement.

Only 3 assists ? That cant be right with the media wankfest i thought he was making 3 assists a game

That's because you are believing the media w*nkfest.

Ozil has more assists than anyone in Europe's top 5 leagues over the past five seasons. That's one hell of a honeymoon.

Arsenal honeymoon period..He's playing well, Arsenal are playing well. He won't be top after a few seasons in the premier league, when he is trying to set up Giroud rather than Ronaldo

Surely there's less competition in creativity at Arsenal?

This idea that Ozil has 60+ more assists than Silva in the same number of games just because of Ronaldo is ludicrous.

Silva has had Villa, Aguero, Tevez to set up and has done it nowhere near as regularly as Ozil.

I love our magician but the numbers speak for themselves.

You can't use stats from la liga you can only compare the players when playing in the same league. La liga overall is not as strong a league with a big disparity between the top teams and the rest, plus he was playing for Real Madrid a team that could win a lot of games at a canter. No one would argue it isn't close, but I would rather have Silva.

In what respect? Not to say Ozil isn't class, he is and I rate him highly. Your comment doesn't really elaborate which is ironic considering your user name.
Silva has more work rate, is a better passer, finds space easier to take a pass, keeps possession in tight areas and sees things before anyone else in our team.
When Silva ticks, we do. He's one of, if not our most important player and if he continues his early season form we'll win the league.

The fishing trawlers are out early this season. But in the off chance you are serious, how do you explain his disappearing act against Dortmnd the other night? He wasn't sighted for 90% of the game.

Ozil is a very good player, but Merln is a magician.

I would only swap Dave for iniesta to be honest. Ozil is a great player but Dave is our Merlin and makes us tick when on form! If Dave, yaya and kun click today I think we could put on a real show.

But ahead of today’s clash with Chelsea, Pellegrini claims Silva will not be dethroned by the German, having shown his influence since coming back from injury.

“Ozil is a very good player but he’s not better than David,” he said.

City are looking for their first win at Stamford Bridge since February 2010 and Pellegrini added: “David’s in great form and he is really making a difference for us.”

We will see at the end of the season who's better. From what I've seen this season, silvas back to his best. As for ozil, he's started off really well, we already knew he was a world class player so it will be interesting to see at the end of the season who has been most influentual.

Thing is with silva, we don't realise how much we miss him when's he not playing. When he came on agaisnt Munich he changed the game in the last 20 minutes.
