Singing End - Would You Relocate?

The Away fans being where they are is the only reason there is more singing from our fans in that area.

I thought this too... Those Dortmund would sing in an empty stadium.
They are organised and dedicated.

This section we're proposing is the same.

Likeminded fans, grouped together, sole intention - supporting City vocally and visually.

Not scattered all over the stadium.

The Blue Alliance for me just seems a group of lads who know each other, go out on the piss and have given themselves a title.

The Stag Doo of Football...

Many likeminded Blues are not apart of TBA simply because they can't be due to where the away fans are located.

The singing section trial last season was a flop as most Ultra fans will be seasoncard holders on the cup scheme and would of stayed where they normally sit.

Let's have a permanent end, where we can all relocate our SC's to and have a proper singing end.

To answer the question, yes i would.

But it's not going to happen for many reasons. It's something the club has tried before and it hasn't worked. Too many fans are set in there ways at that end of the ground, the majority who choose to watch the game from there do so because they like to abuse away fans, sad but that's how it is.

What would be better and easier is to start a MCFC Ultra's type group up who's main aim is to sing non stop for 90 mins and take it to another part of the ground.

Blocks 132 and 140 in the North Stand would be great for many reason's.

1. It's far away from the away fans so all singing and chanting would be Pro City and Pro City only.

2. It gives that end of the ground some atmosphere and encourages others to join in.

3. Blocks 132 and 140 allow people to stand up and not block the view of those blocks either side.

4. These blocks are the last seats to go in the first tier for league games so there would not be too many fans to relocate.

Just imagine 250-500 blues non stop singing and dancing all the way through the game from either of those blocks from the back going forward, added to the South Stand and 111/110 singing their bits and you would get a good atmosphere every game.

City Square could be buzzing before each game, carnival type atmosphere's etc.

For me this is the only way to even generate some kind of atmosphere at the ground as it's only going to get worse.

But there is no point in setting up a MCFC Ultra's type group if it's just going to be an extended singing section who only sings when we are winning. It needs to be choreographed, colourful, it needs a dortmund type drum (not a wigan type), it need's long repeated songs to go with the short chants we have otherwise it's just a load of hassle for something we already have.

Sounds perfect WNRH, but who's going to put the time and effort into creating and co-coordinating the group? If someone takes the role, and gathers a few members, which gather a few friends, and those gather more friends. You'll have 100+ people before you know it. I'm in!

Yes, the tough part is finding someone to take charge who is going to invest the time and energy into it as it wouldn't be easy to regularly organise stuff and could even cost money if you plan to do flags/mosaics/etc. (unless the club helps). Once a motivated figurehead takes on the project I think things could happen quickly after that.

Getting the numbers isn't the issue I don't think.

It's getting the club to agree with it, and the organisation of everyone relocating to this section.

I know of a few mates who would relocate but they sit nowhere near me in the stadium. so if we went to this new section, it needs organising so that people are stood next to their mates.

Atleast a few people who will do the Megaphone job, one per match with a backup ready in case of illness etc.

Finally - funding for the banners etc...They can be expensive.

If someone proposes the idea of the Ultra's section in that part of the stadium, with a decent amount of Season card holders backing the proposal I don't see their problem in making it happen. Like you say, it's finding the individual/team willing to put the work in
