No its not about sex for singles etc etc,
I'd like to hear from people who have been to one and there opinions,or parents who have children at one. I feel they may hinder the chemistry in future relationships, but im not intirely convinced either way. Its getting near decision time in this household and i'd welcome any constructive comments from my fellow blues, thanks.

I went to a single sex school in the seventies (Central High-BelleVue) , and to be honest it probably didn't do me many favours so far as the opposite sex is concerned , and hasn't made me into the most confident person with women .

But having said that that's just my case .... i don't see as single sex schools are any worse than some mixed ones , and are probably better behaved if anything ..... all a question of choice.

Manchester High school for girls , and Withington Girls school , for example , are both said to be excellent schools providing great results.

I went to the local single sex school and left 5 years ago, it definately didn't help me with the ladies but that shouldn't be a massive issue.

The overall education I found to be better, as there was no girls to impress so people could go about doing all the work and not having to act up.

Out of interest which single sex schools are you thinking about ?

go for both sex school mate, it's natural and probably would be your best bet. your son/daughter will be who they want to be anyway so they may aswell discover therself sooner rather than later.

Apparently the 'statistics' show that girls work better in same sex groups and lads work better in mixed sex groups, so make the decision based on the gender of your child(ren)!

I've met a lot of people at university who went to single sex schools. I'm surprised how many actually, I wasn't aware that so many people did. They all talk pretty positively about it, just seems normal and no big deal to them really, doubt it made them turn out any different to how they would've if they'd gone mixed sex.

Loretto girls particularly, which i know is a top achieving school, its also a grammar school which in principle im opposed too. However the idea of going through her school years and not having male school friends seems very strange,i made some great female friends during my school days, and i'd even go so far as to say it helped me find the beautiful wife i have today. (no, she didnt go to my school). The more i think about it,the more opposed to it i am.I also dont have any sons.

went to an all male school

audy grammar...

Didn't do me any harm, I wouldnt say im a don with the ladies but I dont do too badly..Infact I owe a lot to that school as I slacked off a lot but they were strict as fuck and got me the good grades in the end.
