The media criticised us, but conveniently omitted to mention that it was traditional to invade the pitch after the last home game of the season.

As you say, it was incredibly tense that night.

Watched in my local on the Fylde coast now sadly closed. Loads of blues in that night we meant absolutely mental at the final whistle, but all aware we needed a point if Ipswich won their last two . Charlton already champions rolled over for Ipswich, so on to the mad crazy day at Blackburn. Never known a better happier time to be a blue or a greater affinity with the team. Love our current success but for sheer fun nothing matches the Royle era.
