So this is allegedly coming from Barton via ex-players.
So,was he a far better manager than a coach ?
He was by no means tactically deep. He played with a predictable but effective quick counter attacking, lots of crosses, winger system. He got the ball as close to the goal as often as possible and over time, eventually, a goal will come.
So basically he had a superficial grasp of the game?
