I know this may sound a bit silly but after all thats happened today, how about for the next home league game we all, in 112-109 sit down in the 1st minute. Chant 'Sit down if you love City' for 2 min gettin everyone in said blocks sat down, then break in to 'stand up if you love City' and jump around like we always do. Just a thought, ctid

It would be more productive if everyone outraged by the events at the Villa game wrote to City, their MP and local media, calling for a change in the regulation that insists stadiums are all seated.

only reason I don't like it is that it would be nazi enforcement of sitting in non standing areas.

I like being able to flick between the 2.

What??? So at one game you insist everyone around you must sit down because you want to sit down, but the next game you are happy for eveyone to stand because you want to stand at that game?

no but if I want to have a sing along with the singing section then I don't expect to have the shit beaten out of me by Showsec, kicked out and banned for 3 games, for example.

I expect to be allowed to join in the sing along and sit down when the play lulls.

I was talking to a lad yesterday who stands in 109 who says everyone should do the Poznań from the kick off for ages. Then everyone should sing "stand up cos we're sick of it" for five minutes trying to get the whole stand/stadium to stand up.

I'm over in 105 and I'd happily join in to make the point.

It used to happen with the South Stand and "stand up cos we're sick of it" was the main thing that got the point across. Sing it loud and sing it a lot!

AND(!) PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THIS; NEVER ENGAGE IN ANY KIND OF COMMUNICATION WITH THE STEWARDS, EVER! DO NOT TALK TO THEM, DO NOT EVEN LOOK AT THEM. IF THEY TRY TO TALK TO YOU DO NOT DO ANYTHING, JUST STAY FOCUSSED ON THE GAME AND COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY IGNORE THEM! THIS IS IMPORTANT!

-- Sun Oct 16, 2011 8:02 am --

By all means join this. I have. But it is doing fuck all! It's not working. There's barely any progress being made as a result of this, if any.

Has to be something very visible so cannot be ignored by media.

Everybody in that area holding up yelllow A4 paper like a yellow card.

Nothing offensive printed on it or could risk getting confiscated and protest would fail.
Banner could also get confiscated.

Instead of a sit down protest why don't all the fans in 109 stay at the bars until the game has kicked off the all make your way down en mass. I sit in 111 and am getting fed up having to show my ticket to the stewards at the top of the steps yesterday they had 1 girl scanning tickets at one point the queue to get to the seat was bigger than the one getting in to the ground

I would just refuse and walk past. Youve shown your ticket into the ground so why do you need to do it again? Either that or walk to the next block and walk through the seating.
