There is a god Barry's gone!!!
Oh it's nearly time for the 6 Nations a lot of teams in transition. I think this year's 6 Nations it will be France that will win it. I think it will be open and no one will win the Slam this year.

As for Ireland life after Sexton the fly half issue who Andy Farrell goes with long term will be interesting. But as always it will be a great watch.

The Welsh Boys won't be happy with the squads best winger fucking off to NFL. The Scots could they win a championship and England will close the gap with the players getting used to there style of play a year further down the line they should get better but No Farrell is a big loss too.

Maybe not having Farrell will help England? The Ford/Farrell argument is done now and not just for the Six Nations 2024, so Borthwick can commit to Ford.

I agree that it's difficult to see past France, but Scotland-France is at Murrayfield and they might be up for it assuming they beat Wales in Cardiff. Win both of those, and England in Edinburgh will be lively!

Wales have the Triple Crown sides in the first 3 weeks, and will likely be living on bonus points.

Wales are in transition so anything will be a bonus especially as the Regions are next to useless.
Lots of moaning about funding and losing players to England ,France ,Japan etc.
The cap ruling is not deterring players from leaving so either scrap it or sort out the Regional coaching system.

Wales losing players to other nations was always going to happen with professional rugby just as it happens in football. Nobody was/is interested in regional rugby and the crowds reflect this. Money talks and players walk. To this end the WRU are up shitcreek in financial terms.
There's this myth that everyone in Wales is rugby mad, its total nonsense and its perpetuated by the Welsh media. All that happens is that every 6 nations loads of people go out wearing Wales shirts on the lash and fill the MillStad with women in daft glittery cowboy hats waving at the camera. It's an occasion and nothing more to most, a bit like Royal Ascot ladies day. The vast majority of the Welsh public couldn't give a toss about rugby for the rest of the year.

It has gone that way. International day is a bit of nuisance these days with all thw twats it creates.

Welsh rugby would thrive again if meaningful club rugby was brought back.

Completely agree about the regions.
The original 5 regions included the Celtic Warriors, composing of Pontypridd & Bridgend (providing the players and supposedly, the fans). They didn't last long !
Not one first team game was played at Pontypridd, despite Ponty being at the time, one of Wales' top teams with a big support ?
Why ?
Because the Bridgend owner had far more money and wanted all the games at his ground.
I'm sure other parochial Welshmen like myself, will have other examples of how the Regions were never going to be a success...

It would be interesting to see the correlation between the inclusion of Italian and Saffer teams and any decline in crowds.
The Scarlets kicked off this season with two away matches in SA and a total of Three home league games and two cup games to date as we hit February.
People don’t want to see Bulls, Zebre or Lions. They are not that fussed on your Edinburgh’s and Connaught.
Take away the three Welsh regions, Munster and Leinster and there are no crowds.
