Six Nations 2026

The obsession with having forwards loitering wide is odd too. They're not solid in the middle and the big men need to front up. Ball up jumpers and try to get some control surely?

Gibson-Park is playing very well so far.
I really like Gibson Park, he's great to watch.

I really like Gibson Park, he's great to watch.

He is, not flashy but has moved to the older player role very comfortably.

It seems to me that England haven't kicked the ball away in the last 10 minutes. With Steward being hooked as well before halftime, maybe they've abandoned that - I've said before that I think the continual picking of Steward is detrimental to England's play.

Deserved lead for the Irish, but some of the decisions are baffling (and not just from England!). Beirne in at the side to prevent an England try, but ref gives Irish a penalty that the TMO completely misses. When the Irish scored, the TMO told the ref to give Steward a yellow card, but none for the Irish just now when they could have had at least two. No wonder Itoje is complaining to the ref!

I'd not come across this new advice that led to the Steward yellow card for a failed attempt at a cynical stop. Seems to put pressure on the ref.

I'm guessing because it was obvious - the Irish penalty offences didn't appear obviously cynical, although that may be because it's difficult to spot what is from a TV picture, and no-one expects insight from ITV commentators or the minimal halftime. Also maybe because the ref had changed and has a different bar to work to?

Another interjection from the TMO, looks like a terrible decision. It's like watching VAR deciding our games!

Ten minutes to get parity for England with Ireland down to 14 - I assume the same principle as Steward's.

Both sides might run out of players at this rate due to injuries.

This has been a battering. England have looked a bit clueless really, they haven't done anything well. The game against Italy will be huge now, battling to see who becomes second bottom as I can't see Wales improving.

Embarrassing that. We’re better than this, every one of the players knows it. They let themselves down today, hopefully we see a reaction against Italy.

Covent Garden will be mayhem tonight. I wonder what Borthwick will say about this.

The more time players gave with him the more they regress.
Amazing that Ireland with 10% of the numbers playing rugby that England has make England look like rank amateurs.

Ireland destroyed England at times. But it could of been more. JGP unlucky not to get more than one try. All of the back line was Brilliant. 2 wingers worked great together and the fullback.
Also the pack those left out Van Der Flier solid and strong same as Taigh Beirne and all of the flankers too strong. Jack Crowley was a big improvement compared to Sam Pendergast hopefully we will give more guys a game against Wales. Got to say England should not understand rate Italy they have been great so far.
I was fuming after France didn't see this performance all of the team and management wanted this more than England.

There's something in the paper today that Steward's recovery of kicks has dropped significantly since the rule change on blocking chasers. I don't think he offers anything to England as both last week and today the opponents caused problems.

I don't think Marcus Smith is a good enough fullback to be first choice, Furbank keeps getting injured (I've not seen enough to know what he offers).

Add to that the difference in effect between McCloskey and DIngwall meant that there wasn't much speed outside - Lawrence made holes but rarely got the ball in space.

And tell the back row they're forwards not backs.
