What do fellow BM'ers think about possibly sending him a get well card?
I had Pneumonia last year. I was initially put in ICU after my right lung collapsed and went into a coma, during which
I got Pneumonia from the dirty hospital wards most probably. I was 29.
What really helped me was all the get well messages and visits from friends/family when I came around.

Let's hope this young fella makes a full recovery.
People seem to misunderstand pneumonia, it is usually contracted during the critical stages of various illnesses,

That's shameful considering the "people" they've let back on here.

That's a bit unfair. As I recall, he asked to have his account banned and has never asked to come back.
As I told him at the time, he'd be welcome back if he ever wished to return.
Anyway, it's not really the time or place for that. The main thing is that he gets well soon.

Hopefully the news about Pep will perk him up no end, get well soon Blue
I'm 31 and spent two months in Stepping Hill over December, Christmas and new year just gone with pneumonia, sepsis and empyema, got a huge scar on my back where litres of a foul looking fluid was drained. Docs told me I was close to death afterwards and lucky, still recovering now.
Met skash a few times, always got on, hopefully he'll be doing OK very soon.
Sorry to hear that pal, hope you're back to full health soon.
Some strange posts on here about Pnuemonia being for old people (and corrected by others) when my son was 21 he got it really badly. The doctor said it was most likely caught from a shower head (he had ben on a cheap (very cheap) greek holiday)
It really can be a nasty illnes but with the modern drugs you can and should make a full recovery as my son did.
